Trip Up the Shore

Happy first day of Spring! Now, if the weather in Duluth would cooperate and give us spring-like weather, I’d be a happy girl. Instead, we keep getting snow and below zero wind chills. Ick.

On a happier note, my sister came to stay with me for a chunk of her Spring Break. On Sunday, we decided to take a mini road trip up the North Shore of Lake Superior. Our destination was Grand Marais, just over 100 miles from Duluth. We stopped at two State Parks and did some small hikes on the snow covered trails.  We stopped at Temperance River State Park and Cascade River State Park. Overall, we had a good time. It was sunny with semi-decent temps. Here are a few photos from the day.
